Authentic Voice of Elders/Scribing with Elders is  project based within elder-homes in Providence, Rhode Island. This model, originally created by Barry Marshall and Lorraine Keeney, aims to celebrate elders by listening to their stories and co-creating a “script” with them that shares their stories with their community of neighbors, family, friends, and caretakers. At times, these stories and the songs created from them are shared in school settings to see what listening to the elders might inspire others to create or be curious about.

Cheers to listening and spending time with elders and letting their stories resonate for all to hear and learn from…
